The University of Raparin currently works with several international universities and programs, and we strongly believe that the more programs we have the more opportunities there will be for our students and faculty to benefit and grow with strong international partners. Our current programs include the following:

Participation in International Projects:

  • “Dialogue and Innovative Higher Education Strategies” (DIES) supported by DAAD, Germany
  • Erasmus Mundus Marhaba Project” supported by the European Union
  • TIGRIS – Transfer of Good Practices & Reinforcement of Internationalisation Strategies in Kurdistan” supported by Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany and Erasmus+Programme of the European Union

Collaboration with International Universities:

  • University of Almiria, Spain: Faculty exchange program
  • Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany: Development of administrative staff

Future Goals:

Our Mission it to expand the opportunities for growth and development of our staff, faculty and students through every possible avenue. Because of the long history of educational neglect that our region has suffered under successive rulers, we know that we cannot provide this by ourselves, and we welcome the opportunity to work with partner institutions who can help alleviate our deficiencies. At the same time, our faculty and students are eager to learn and can assist or direct research projects or help gather information and develop new curricula. The Kurdistan Region also offers many opportunities for research in social, political, cultural and geographical, legal and other areas. Thus, we welcome any projects in the following areas:

  • Student or faculty/staff exchanges
  • Faculty/staff training projects
  • Joint teaching programs
  • Joint research projects
  • Comparative analysis of administrative systems
  • Other area of mutual interest
